Skills glossary

What each skill means, and what makes you entitled to claim it.

Be specific. More skills does not mean more work. A company shortlisting for deliverability wants the person who does deliverability, not the person who ticked everything. A profile claiming eight skills you can talk about for ten minutes each is stronger than one claiming thirty.

Klaviyo Strategist

You decide what gets sent and why. Lifecycle strategy, audits, segmentation, reporting, deliverability, testing.

Lifecycle strategy
Deciding what a brand sends across the customer lifecycle and why: which flows exist, what each one is for, and how campaigns fit around them.Claim it if: You have designed a lifecycle programme for a brand, not just worked inside someone else's plan.
Klaviyo audit
Reviewing an existing Klaviyo account end to end and writing up what is broken, missing or wasting money.Claim it if: You have delivered an audit someone acted on.
Segmentation & analysis
Working out which segments a brand actually needs from its data, and what to say to each.Claim it if: You have defined segments from behaviour or purchase data, not only built segments someone else specified.
List cleaning
Removing or suppressing unengaged and risky addresses to protect sending reputation.Claim it if: You have run a sunset or suppression programme and can explain the thresholds you chose.
List growth strategy
Deciding how a brand grows its list: offers, placements, trade-offs between volume and quality.Claim it if: You have set list growth targets and chosen the tactics, not just built the form.
Deliverability troubleshooting
Diagnosing inbox placement problems: authentication, reputation, content, sending patterns.Claim it if: You have fixed a real deliverability problem and know why it worked.
Flow reporting & troubleshooting
Reading flow performance and finding the reason a flow underperforms, then fixing it.Claim it if: You have diagnosed a flow from its numbers, not only read the dashboard.
Campaign reporting & troubleshooting
The same for campaigns: reading results, spotting what is dragging, and changing it.Claim it if: You have changed a campaign programme because of what the reporting told you.
Custom reporting
Klaviyo reporting beyond the defaults: custom reports and metrics that answer a specific question.Claim it if: You have built a report someone else relies on.

Analysing how customers move from first purchase to repeat to lapsed, and what that means for messaging.Claim it if: You have produced a cohort, RFM or repeat-purchase analysis that changed a decision.
Klaviyo plan & pricing strategy
Advising on Klaviyo plans, profile counts and what an account should cost.Claim it if: You have advised a brand on their plan or reduced what they pay.
Scheduling
Planning and running a sending calendar: what goes out when, and how it interacts with flows.Claim it if: You have owned a sending calendar for a brand.
AI-assisted workflows
Using AI tooling in the work itself: drafting, analysis, QA, or automations through MCP and similar.Claim it if: AI is part of how you deliver, not something you have tried.
Project management
Running the work: scope, timelines, stakeholders and handovers across a team or client.Claim it if: You have been accountable for delivery, not only for your own tasks.
A/B testing
Designing tests that answer a question: what varies, what does not, and what result would change your mind.Claim it if: You have run tests with a hypothesis and acted on the outcome.
